So we included Colin Trevorrow’s Safety Not Guaranteed in our Sundance 2012 preview, and after building a lot of positive buzz at the festival we finally got a trailer yesterday.
Indiewire calls the clip endearing, and I have to agree but have to say it looks like so much more too. A smart, funny and well-thought-out film is always damn hard to find during the sunny months, so this will be very welcome when it hits North American cinemas on June 8th. I imagine a European release will follow at the tail-end of the summer.
Every year around this time I take a cheeky look at flights to Salt Lake City, Utah.
One of these years I’m actually going to the Sundance Film Festival and try pack in ten days of snow, drinking and independent cinema. But sadly work, money and life commitments mean it won’t be in 2012.
